The new Atex Directive (Basic introduction)

How comprehensive are the changes made to the new ATEX directive 2014/34/EU and how do you deal with those changes?

No changes to the 94/9/EF directive have been made for the past 13 years, but20 April 2016 the new ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU became effective and with no transitional scheme. The new directive is primarily intended to clarify the responsibility boundaries for manufacturer, importer, distributor etc. However, this will also affect the Danish operators and their suppliers in the oil & gas industry as awareness about responsibility is important in connection with selling/procurement of equipment.
